Afrojack – Replica (Original Mix)

I am very impressed with how DJ’s are transitioning into new sounds. Afrojack stays away from the standard yet catchy Dirty Dutch sound (think: the “bloop” sound from ‘Take Over Control”) and evolves into this melodic yet hard drop. He incorporates the same improvised drop as you heard in his remix of ‘Better Run’ and ‘No Beef’. This improvisation is sweet because as you get further into the song the drops incorporate the previous drop and something more. Nick Wall (Afrojack) is quite simply a musical genius…anyone who debates this fact shall be quickly and swiftly banished from this galaxy. N-JOY TO THE MAX!

    Shame on you Dancing Astronaut….this is not the original mix. This is a bootleg that’s been floating around for ages now.

    Afrojack fine-tuned the shit out of this thing and the actual release is just over 7 minutes long.

    That said blew me away when I first heard him spin it live (when I didn’t even know what it was), blew me away again when I heard the bootleg, and continues to blow me away now that I’ve heard the original mix. Loving it.
