Forgotten Friday: Imogen Heap – Hide And Seek (Otto Knows Remix)

Our 2nd installment of Forgotten Friday’s is now upon us. Imogen Heap’s ‘Hide And Seek’ is a blockbuster track that King Afrojack decided to remix at the beginning of 2010. In fact, Afrojack’s remix stayed atop Dancing Astronaut’s most downloaded tracks for two months straight! No other song has come close to that since our establishment. As much as my man crush for Afrojack continues to grow I would argue that Otto Knows remix is EQUALLY as massive. Avicii always plays this in his live sets and it has been out for several months now, but it has not quite received the praise in truly deserves. Both the Afrojack and Otto Knows remixes are on different spectrums of the house world (one being progressive and the other being dirty Dutch), but they are both HUGE. Compare/contrast and let us know what you think!

NOTE: There are many other quality remixes of ‘Hide And Seek’ most notably the Tiesto Remix. The reason it is not included is because Afrojack’s (in my humble opinion) is by far the most played.

    Otto Knows version isn’t even released yet by the way. The Original mix isn’t. Don’t know why, Otto’s growing at the moment. I think he’s saving this song, till his established in the global industry of house.

    hey just wanted to let you know I’m pretty sure Otto Knows is an Avicii alias….hence why both their remixes of hide and seek are identical

    The track has not been released..very true. However, it has been played for about 8 months now and has been circulating within the blogs/tracklists for quite some time. It is qualified for a ‘forgotten friday’ because it has not received the same amount of love as Afrojack’s. Even Afrojack’s remix was never released, but it has been out for a year or so.
