Nobody likes Mondays, but fortunately for us, Avicii is here to save the day. This new track made me think about how Apple has rolled out new self-congratulatory ads for the iPhone that simply say “Finally” or “If you don’t have an iPhone… you don’t have an iPhone.” These ads would be much more appropriate for any Avicii single that comes out.

Unlike many of the most accomplished mainstream DJs, Avicii seems incapable of releasing a track that doesn’t instantly generate a buzz from the EDM world for its amazing depth of quality. It’s a testament to the young (21 years old – younger than almost anyone on the Astronaut team) Tim Bergling’s range of talent and stunning melodies that anything he puts out immediately makes its way into set lists around the world.

If you think this praise is too hyperbolic, just listen to the track. It’s not as much of an anthem tune as Levels or Bromance, but it still incorporates the same great use of melodic beats that Avicii is known for. The violins kick in at 3:13 and the drums drop out at 3:39 to give this track a very ethereal feel. The original mix itself is pretty progressive and doesn’t have any big drops, but the remixes do a great job of creating them. Of all the remixes, the Vandalism one is by far my favorite (and is featured here), which gives the track a big room drop and a completely different feel. The Sneaker Fox remix also has a great build-up, and gives the track an even more progressive feel.
