Pukka Up Boat Party (Preview)

Item Image

This summer, Dancing Astronaut will be taking you to Ibiza for the super hot Pukka Up Boat Party. If you’ve never heard of it (shame on you), the party begins promptly at 6pm, where the boat leaves from the San Antonio docks. Revelers and partygoers then spend the next 3 hours raging on the decks of Pukka Up’s party boat before returning at 9pm and being shuttled off to club Space for the legendary Carl Cox and Come Together parties. If you’re wondering about the end time, there is no end time. The end does not exist.

This is the Boat Party’s 9th season, after rotating between clubs Es Paradis (where Hed Kandi holds weekly parties) and Privilege (where Tiësto hosts weekly events), and it’s going to be an intense season. How intense? Well, for starters, the theme of this year’s parties is “Too Hot To Handle.” That should give you some idea. Oh, and every party will feature the famous Pukka Up Girls, pictured above.

You can get two weekly doses of Pukka Up’s Boat Party if you plan to be in Ibiza this summer. From June 21st to September 20th, they’ll be partying every Tuesday and Friday from day to night. Come Together last year hosted such diverse DJs as Calvin Harris, Zane Lowe, Mark Ronson, Mauro Picotto and Grandmaster Flash. This year it can only be expected that it will top that lineup.

In Carl Cox’s words: “They’ll be pulling out all the stops for this landmark anniversary, and are inviting everyone who’s heading to Ibiza to join the celebration. Every year its gets better and better and this one will top them all.”

You haven’t seen an enthralling house music set until you’ve been to a Carl Cox show. The way he energizes the crowd is unbelievable, and his musical talent is exceptional. For a taste of what’s to come, check out Cox’s mix from Time Warp 2011.
