Vertigo – Mister Sandman (Bom Bom)

Vertigo is a team comprised of Jay C and one of London’s most in-demand sound engineers, James Reynolds. You’ll immediately realize this is a radical updating on the Chordettes’ 1954 vocal jazz hit, that was made famous again in the “Back To The Future” movies.

The story of how the track came about…in their words

“After a gig in Vienna, we (Vertigo) were stuck at the airport due to the promoter accidentally booking us on the wrong flight back (right date, wrong month!). We were re-booked on the next flight but had a 6 hour wait so went to chill in the airport lounge and go through some bits on our laptops. One of the shops had music blaring out and Mister Sandman came on, we both looked at each other with the same idea, grabbed it from iTunes and got to work on it and it was pretty much done there and then….. not all delays are bad :)”

The EP is released on May 16 through Simply Delicious Music.
