David Guetta‘s “Little Bad Girl” featuring the raspy vocals of Taio Cruz and the recognizable flow of Ludacris officially dropped a few days ago, but we decided against posting it since the vocal additions seemed to almost detract from the uplifting baseline beat. It is clear what Guetta was going for, but the pop artist additions and the instrumental melody seemed to clash.
Despite his legion of devout supporters, David Guetta appears to have anticipated this somewhat negative reaction and decided to release the instrumental club version of the new single only a few days later to appease the purist EDM crowd. After listening to the stripped down take of “Little Bad Girl,” one would have to be deaf, biased, and ignorant to not see the merit behind what made Guetta so great and so loved. This modified instrumental kicks hard when it needs to, giving the much-needed release that EDM lovers seek without the need for extraneous vocals.
P.S. The bridge at 2:54 leading up to the second drop at 3:24 is sublime.
