Joachim Garraud’s latest offering “Invasion 2011” is a juggernaut of an electro release, with banging beats on a mission from their mothership to invade your eardrums. It’s an LP that’s as retro (and fun) as a game of Galaga, and while most of the songs are high-scorers, a few will leave you at Game Over.

THE GREAT

Space Invaders are Back and They Love Planet Earth (Original Mix)

Easily the masterpiece of the album, this track has a BIG sound and an even bigger, more rambunctious drop. This is a peak-hour bomber that will have people wondering what just hit them.

Joachim Garraud – Everybody In The Place (AutoErotique Remix) by Electric Zoo Festival

AutoErotique’s remix work makes a good track into a great one.

THE GOOD

Can’t Stop This! (Original Mix)

Turbocharged sounds and Martian vocals, along with some cowbell, really bring this one together.

THE COMPUTER (THE BOOMZERS & JOACHIM GARRAUD RMX)

“The Computer” showcases a darker sound, one more brooding than most others on the album.

EVERYBODY IN THE PLACE

Imagine the sprawling beats from a track like Warp 7.7 mashed up with Zuper Blahq-like vocals, and you have a recipe for “Everybody in the Place”.

THE REST

Wake Up People
Mister Electro
I’m Invaded
BACK FROM SPACE (ALEX DEL AMO RMX)
Bang Bang
My Boyfriend is a Robot
Stop
Are U Ready (2011 RMX)
WE ARE THE FUTURE (MARCO G & JOACHIM GARRAUD RMX)

And guess what…
