Preview: Avicii – Fade Into Darkness (Vocal Mix)

avicii fade into darkness vocal mix

Avicii just posted a preview for the vocal version of Penguin on his Soundcloud. The track is due to be released soon by Ministry of Sound. Is it objective to say that it’s impossible to dislike Avicii’s music? Surely that is an opinion held by most EDM fans but can anyone really argue that he isn’t one of the best producers around today?

Preview: Avicii – Fade Into Darkness (Vocal Mix)

Supposedly Avicii premiered the track at the Summerburst Festival in Stockholm on June 4th. Thanks to Beat My Day for the video.

We can’t wait for this song to release but we may be even more excited for Silhouettes.

I agree with every word you said. I also want to add in that he’s also the most experimental, in addition to being the most innovative. Can anyone argue?

The record sounds so much better with the vocals, they’re perfect for the song and the vocalist is very talented. Nice tune, nice vocals, sick record. ;)

Let him release the Vocal Mix of Silhouettes first and I’ll be happy.

Of course someone can argue! He’s song all have the same builds and type of leads. It is starting to become boring. He is not innovative. Every song sounds like he has just had an orgasm, and it is just because he has found out that everyone likes it.

The best song are the ones that have some talent and skills behind them, Tim Bergling does the same thing over and over just to take the safe path. Everything to reach out to the mainstream scene, he is the new Guetta. Guetta did so much great things before he became mainstream, now everything is autotune and famous names. And Avicii is getting there soon!

    Ok, where do I start…

Same build up? Compare Hang with me with the Painted Faces remix. Same build and type of leads? No. For the record, he doesn’t really use that many leads. It’s more like piano synths. As for the orgasm part, I think it’s the exact opposite. I think it’s rather the listener who has an orgasm by listening to his tracks. He’s not innovative? Ok so, he made a non-commercial track, and made it ok for metal-heads to listen to house, by just adding some vocals. He isn’t constantly trying out different styles, and he totally didn’t create his own sound, right?

As for the second close-minded paragraph. Don’t you think, all the DJs that are on the top, not neccesarily mainstream. I wouldn’t call Armin and Tiesto mainstream at all infact. As a matter of fact, they’re not… at all. The reason they’re popular, is because they created their own unique sound, which then leaded to their success. Avicii is doing the same, the crowd just can’t get enough of the Avicii sound, and what is a DJ/Producer, who can’t even please his crowd/fans? David Guetta… How can you even compare these two. While David Guetta Colaborates with Rihanna/Florida, Avicii wants to Colaborate with artists like Adele and Elton John. Ofcourse, the later two are also mainstream, but there’s a huge difference in quality. Two pretty good examples of talented artists who made it to the main scene in the music industry, without senseless marketing and had talent intact.

I doubt Avicii will be getting there any soon. As a matter of fact, after my experience. I’ve recently gotten into discussions with people, who have been mistaking Melodic Progressive House with something they believe is ‘mainstream’, I also get that vibe from you. Ofcourse Avicii produces dark and clubby tunes(Tim Berg Alias. The original mix of Bromance as an example. Alcoholic?), but he also wants to reach out to the mass, that’s sitting at home, wanting to listen to a melodic energic tune, while having a drink under the sunset. Avicii is talented, and a genious. Great at what he does, and enjoys doing it. You’re just hating mate.
