David Guetta & Afrojack – Lunar (Original Mix)

guetta_afro_lunar

Hot off the tantalizing preview from a few days ago, heavyweights David Guetta and Afrojack have finally unleashed the full version of “Lunar” that will surely send some of you astronauts into orbit. In a note on his Facebook page, David Guetta himself reveals that this is the first single from the electronic side of his upcoming album, Nothing But The Beat, which is slated for release on August 29 (August 30 in the US).

Reminiscent of early Daft Punk (and perhaps 80′s 8-bit video game music), “Lunar” sports a spacey sound that most avid fans would not have expected from either DJ individually, which is refreshing. In the end, it is vastly clear that both DJs went out of their comfort zones to produce this single, and for that we couldn’t be happier.

Makes me so mad how people hate on David Guetta because he is doing something beyond House Music.  Im sorry he is talented and can make songs that fit into the pop world… Even the beat for Little Bad Girl is off the hook… I don’t like it with the lyrics really but still a sick beat!! Check out the instrumental

Agreed, that particular instrumental is very underrated. DA covered it here a few months back:

    Cheers!

Just listened to his new album. It’s obnoxiously commercial. Every single song has a top 40 artist slapped on it.

First thing that I really love is no vocals. Second thing is that I like over my Ipod but skip it everywhere else… Still a good and fresh song, I like it. Perhaps I like it for the same reason like Aviciis Sunshine? Less Guetta more Afrojack. Haters gonna hate, I know.
