He’s not dead baby! “Shave It” is Zedd’s third major solo release of the year and second on Skrillex’s OWSLA record label. The track is what we’ve come to expect from Zedd, an electro banger at heart, scattered with layers of Wolfgang Gartner-esk complexity. The crunchy bass lines are back and distinct throughout the song’s breakdowns, which resemble that of his “Save the World” remix, but with a more rhythmic drum beat behind it.

The young German phenom, who’s currently on tour with Deadmau5, wants to push his creativity even further.

I’m making a new song; it’s sounding so good, I’ll potentially make it the “epos” (‘The Gamechanger’) I’ve been planing on making (it) for so long… it will be something new, something the genre didn’t hear yet, something for your grandma’s and ravers, something for radio and club…. …. just give me a few years to finish it lol.

Hopefully he’s only kidding about the “few years” part.

    how is shave it a game changer there are soooooo many songs that sounds similar to it. Its not even funny. I hear shit like, “game changer” and its funny. game changers are guys like wolfgang or deamau5 or skrillex. guys who ACUTALLY change the game….
