Having passed the DA-patented Mom Test months ago, Avicii’s “Levels” is well on its way to becoming a classic in the pantheon of dance tracks. But, truth be told, we’re beginning to tire of hearing the original version in every set, every weekend. Enter Hardwell: the 23-year-old superproducer has just posted his take on the track. Keeping the Etta James vocal sample intact, Hardwell transforms the piano melody into a stirring synth line and adds a club-ready hit of bass. The track premiered on Hardwell’s “On Air” radio show this weekend; check it out below. No word yet on a release date, but we’ll keep you updated.
