“The First Note Is Silent” allows us to bask in the glory of Tiesto’s older style. This is vastly different from his more recent productions of “Zero 76,” “Don’t Ditch,” and “Maximal Crazy.” Trance used to be Tiesto’s staple genre and “The First Note Is Silent” definitely takes us back a few years (maybe a decade?) to his light hearted progressive trance tunes. Question for everyone: is it a little weird that some of Tiesto’s productions fall under the radar? Is this normal for an artist with such a large following? Example – Steve Aoki and Tiesto’s new track has been well publicized, however, this track snuck up on us.
