Tim Mason’s “Anima” gets official preview and release date

We’ve been hearing Tim Mason’s “Anima” show up in sets from all the biggest DJs at the biggest venues, and now there’s finally an official preview and release date. The progressive banger will be released on December 30th — just in time to be blasted as the clock strikes 12 midnight on the 31st. The release will happen on Steve Angello’s Size Records, and given the enormity of this track, we’d be shocked if it doesn’t get some airtime during SHM’s set tomorrow at MSG. Don’t forget — you can tune in for a livestream of the entire show at 10:45PM so don’t miss your chance to hear the whole tune live!

    I know this is a big statement but it’s hands down the best live track I’ve heard all year. When Dirty South dropped this at his Electric Zoo afterparty set at Pacha during peak-time, I completely lost my shit hahaha. As I was melting away, I remember turning to my buddy and I asked WHAT THE FUCK is this? As expected, when I saw him a month later at the Mid Chicago, he dropped it again but mashed it with EBTG’s “Missing” acapella (see my video here ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VvNXJ2Ea-k&list=UU5iMm_Z5jCZmcRII5m8i5Yg&index=11&feature=plcp )

    Then more recently at an Alesso & Thomas Gold show at the mid, Thomas fucking Gold dropped it after insane live edits of The Moment and Alive…Honestly the best set I’ve seen all year but we’ll see tomorrow at MSG. Tim Mason works so those chords so well..Anima is gonna be so huge…
