Moguai’s new album, “Mpire” is out today on mau5trap

German DJ/producer Moguai releases his second artist album on mau5trap today. Titled “Mpire,” the new project incorporates elements of electro, techno, and progressive to create a decidedly unique electro-house sound. If you’re looking for something harder than Deadmau5 but a little more subtle than Kill the Noise, this is the album for you. Moguai’s strength here is his ability to maintain a driving energy while sweeping you away on classic progressive synths and chord progressions — there’s power when you need it and patience when you don’t. It’s a very, very solid effort overall.

While we can’t honestly put Moguai in electro-house’s first tier with veterans like Wolfgang Gartner and Dada Life and scene-storming newcomers Knife Party, that doesn’t detract from this album’s undeniable elegance.

Great album, each song is worth it. I can see a lot of DJs finding hidden gems for their sets on this one. Moguai has incredible range between the smooth techno and big drop electro

@Kunal Bambawale ‘not in the first tier’? listen to Lyyve From Beta. It puts Moguai on an another level than Dada Life.

not first tier?! moguai’s production level is fucking ridiculous….have you even listened to Mpire…..Deadmau5 doesn’t sign any old joe to Mau5trap

isn’t first tier? im tired of DA only supporting the mainstream artists.. moguai’s production is as good as anyone’s. just cause he doesn’t have the following of dada life or wolfgang doesn’t diminish from the quality of his music

I see I’m not the only one who thinks this guy is first tier. I’m surprised and delighted by many of his new tracks. While I love Dada Life (love love love, their sound is incredible), I have to give Moguai props for how intricate his songs really are.
