Zedd’s starting the year off right with his newest release, “Slam The Door.” The track takes the listener on one hell of a ride – from a piano build-up to an aggressive electro beat with droning synths – and includes a vocal sample to give the track a sense of humor. (The sample in question happens to belong to a YouTube classic, in case you’re curious). We love how “Slam The Door” starts off with a traditional build, and transforms into a track that’s anything but; the dirty grind of the main beat both uses and subverts the piano chords in just the right way. Given this incredibly strong start to the year, we can’t wait to see what 2012 has in store for Zedd.
