Chris Lake – Build Up (Original Mix and Tommy Trash Remix) (Previews)
Chris Lake’s “Sundown” was a sexy, moody progressive house track that, as the best songs often do, transported listeners away from their desks, dance floors, wherever. His first release of 2012, “Build Up,” has that same transcendent power. Vocals from Gita Lake (Chris’ wife!) are deep and hypnotic, and a driving beat only heightens the feeling. The brief post-drop snippet of the song we hear in the preview marks a new direction for Lake: rather than sticking to something more atmospheric, the sound is more chainsaw madness meets Tommy Trash synth.
