DJ Magazine Top 100 Clubs voting now live, results still useless and unimportant

main_image_3168

DJ Magazine is trying its luck at the whole rankings thing yet again, and is asking viewers to vote for their favorite place in the world to party for the fifth consecutive year. Space Ibiza took the top spot in 2011, knocking the previous title-holder, Amnesia, down to the fourth spot. With the use of nitrogen blasts, confetti cannons, lasers, and the newest technologies, the best clubs to party at have more than just big name DJs. Clubs are constantly changing, evolving, and trying to bring the fans the best experience possible to keep them coming back. Voting is a simple procedure going down on Facebook, so pick your five favorite nocturnal destinations and make your opinion heard. Who will be this year’s winner?

You know, maybe the reason you guy’s get so many derogatory comments is because you write derogatory articles. Perhaps if you want to be taken seriously as a periodical you should cut asinine and juvenile disparagement of things like DJ Mag.  I really doubt you’d find this kind of crass journalism in DJ Mag.  Stop acting like your shit doesn’t stink, I assure you it does.

DJ Mag is a joke and everyone knows it, I’m glad they make articles like this expressing what everyone in the edm community feels. Guetta as the #1 dj, are you kidding?

    I agree with you.

David Guetta is clearly the #1 most popular dj in the world, the magazine does exactly as it intends, ranks DJs based on over all popularity.  Besides, I don’t see how dancingastronauts rankings are not “useless and unimportant” they serve no industry purpose, at least DJ mags help base DJ booking fees.  At any rate, if “everyone” thinks DJ mag is a joke, then we don’t need to jerk ourselves off by bitching about it constantly.  Dancingastronaut could just provide an alternative to dj mag with an opinion more representative of the “edm community” (whatever that is)  , and stand as respectable pilar of the “community” by not writing derogatory articles.

considering DA constantly hypes up and covers guetta, are YOU kidding?

DA puts in a lot of effort and does some great stuff, given, but they have quite a bit to go if they want to be taken serious. they could start by not covering crap music and giving attention to DJs who produce quality tracks and DJs who acutally know how to put a set together.
