Electric Daisy Carnival coming to New York from Insomniac Events and Pacha NYC

Item Image

It’s officially official. Electric Daisy Carnival is coming to New York through a partnership between Insomniac Events and Pacha NYC. Billboard was first to break the news, though it does not provide a venue or lineup information. (We may be able to help you with those, however.) According to Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac’s CEO and founder, “I’m really excited to be working with Pacha to bring our touring experience of Electric Daisy Carnival to New York. The entire Insomniac staff is looking forward to this upcoming EDC weekend on the East Coast.”

Our own sources have revealed more about the event and the possible arrangement between Pacha and Insomniac. Insomniac has an established following on the West coast, but Pacha’s stronghold on the Northeast makes the move quite strategic. People familiar with the event plans tell us that EDC will occupy MetLife Stadium itself and that additional stages will be erected in its surrounding parking lots. The stadium itself will be an 18+ or 21+ event, while the other areas will be open to anyone over fourteen. Even more interesting is the possible talent arrangement: DJs could be rotated through the two separate event spaces (inside / outside the stadium), allowing everyone to see the same lineup.

We’ve heard some possible names thrown around for the actual lineup, but we’ll keep those to ourselves until we can confirm 100%.

UPDATE: IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED, EDC NYC WILL BE HELD ON MAY 19 and 20.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 2nd at 3pm.
