Not long ago, there were rumors of an EDM-oriented festival hitting Chicago’s Soldier Field this summer; now, with the official launch of the fest’s lineup and ticketing site, we can confirm the event is happening. Set to take place on June 16th and 17th, the Spring Awakening Festival isn’t exactly taking place this spring… but the roster of performers is so stellar we’ll let it slide. Skrillex and Afrojack are headlining, with Laidback Luke, Wolfgang Gartner, Moby, Flux Pavilion, and many, many more set to hit the decks. Two-day GA passes cost just $99, with VIP passes going for $199. Sadly, Daft Punk is nowhere to be found on the bill – but we think Spring Awakening will rock Chicago nonetheless.
