Tiesto went on a little College Tour last year, but it looks like he’s not done with beer pong and sorority girls just yet. According to people familiar with the matter, we can exclusively confirm that Tiesto will be playing a show at the University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field as part of the school’s annual Spring Fling concert. The show will take place on Friday April 13th at the historic Franklin Field, a venue that used to be home to the Philadelphia Eagles back in the day. The show won’t be as large as Tiesto’s Home Depot Stadium extravaganza in LA this past summer (which you can thankfully still download), but it is definitely one huge way to kick off the summer and stay on top of the game. He will be joined by opener Passion Pit.
We’re not sure what the situation will be for tickets as the event may only be open to UPenn students, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more. This hasn’t even been announced yet by school officials yet, but we’re confident enough in our sources to bring you this information early. More as we get it!
Update: The Daily Pennsylvanian has re-confirmed that Tiesto will headline this year’s concert, and that tickets will go on sale Thursday, March 22nd at 10AM on Locust Walk on the UPenn campus. Floor passes will be available for $45, while other section-specific tickets will be sold for $35. More information available at SPEC.
