Zedd’s ‘Shotgun’ gets previewed by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1
Besides previewing Madeon’s new remix Friday night, Pete Tong also gave us a look at what Zedd has been working on. His next track, “Shotgun” is one of his heaviest tracks to date. The track is more hard-style with a heavy kick drum, intese fading, and a lighter synth melody that works to balance things out. It’s definitely a departure from the pop vocal tunes like “Stars Come Out,” but we have no word on the release date — but you’ll probably hear it Saturday at UMF if you’re lucky enough to be there.
I was lucky enough to be at the Hollywood Palladium when he was there and tested it out this track for the first time. This song is so intense that it is a instant crowd pleaser.
Dada Life played this at Sensation Belgium last Saturday.. the crowd went insane.

Sounds like zedd hardly put any work into this. Such a simple bassline. He’s way more talented than this.
