In one word; beautiful. Porter Robinson’s latest track “Language” is a sweeping electro track that is as mesmerizing as it is massive. Anyone lucky enough to catch his Ultra set can vouch for this tracks power to transform a crowd. It may be a bit of a change from the heavy hitting tracks on his previous work, Spitfire EP but it is no less impressive. “Language” is a unique blend of progressive builds and sweeping chord progressions with just the right amount of electro-house grit to keeps things interesting. Big kicks and dubstep-inspired drum fills pepper the track while Heather Bright’s vocals add another layer to an already intricate and detailed production. In an interview with MTV, Porter referred to “Language” as his favorite song that he has written and we have to agree — it’s ours as well. It’s good to see Porter evolving without abandoning his sound and style — it’s something that very few artists manage to accomplish.
