Avicii vs. Lenny Kravitz – Superlove (Original Mix)

Superlove

Avicii has shown once again why he has become one of the biggest names in the EDM world. He takes Lenny Kravitz’s soul track “Superlove” and transforms it into a massive progressive house anthem that will probably be played way too often at festivals this summer. Lenny’s smooth vocals blend seamlessly with Avicii’s melodic synths and bouncy drop.

Some of you will criticize Avicii for working with people like Lenny Kravitz and Madonna and accuse him of “selling out.” It’s easy to dismiss someone who has had as much commercial success as Avicii has. However, to us, Avicii’s productions still have retained the trademark sound that he first made his name with. He has not changed his sound to conform to a more “poppy” vibe as some other artists who have experienced similar crossover success have done. Regardless of that, we’re huge fans of “Superlove” and are sure many of you will feel the same way.

avicii hasnt sold out to be pop the EDM world has just blown up enough that it is almost pop its self now

  2. geoff says:

agree w/ Ron. David Guetta changed his sound and sold out. Avicii’s sound just became pop. Which is more an indictment of the fans that the artist.

Couldn’t agree more, exactly the point we were trying to make.

this songs really boring… he sticks to the same chords over and over and just slighting changes octaves for a build up. There’s nothing exciting about it unless your a 16 year old girl, who along with madonna, just “found molly” and the neon section in forever 21for the first time

he needs to change his shit up or work on a better live set because anyone who actually listens to and appreciates edm is really tired of his sound and his approach to sets.

the only good thing that comes from this track is the fact that he finally released a song “for the first time” and wasn’t one that has already been played for months and he finally decided to title it and make money off it
