Miike Snow’s “Devil’s Work” earned a top spot on DA‘s ‘Top 10 Tracks of April‘ with a remix from Dirty South, and the Swedish pop band may find themselves in a similar position this month as Thomas Gold has received remix duties for their next single, “The Wave.” Miike Snow’s indie vocal once again lends itself to progressive house as the union with Thomas Gold sounds like a match made in heaven. Leaving little trace of the original, Gold’s uplifting and melodic progression takes the lead, producing an instant favorite that translates to all live audiences. Thomas Gold’s remix of “The Wave” is now available on Beatport via Axtone ahead of his compilation to be released May 28th.

    he just took a great song and turned it into some cheese-house nonsense. lame

  2. Idioteque... says:

    Actually it’s the best remix of Miike Snow and keeps the drumlines of Miike Snow intact, the other djs pure out butchered Miike Snow.  The beginning is trash, and the end is trash but the middle that was premiere on Pete Tong’s show is the best part.

    @steve shut your face.

     false, paddling out (miguel campbell remix) is 10x better

     what’s so good about this?? I’m a huge miike snow fan and love seeing them remixed so much, but this one is too easy.

  6. Idioteque... says:

    Nope you’re false, that’s a really slow/boring/bland version of a super fun song.

  7. steve says:

    and this thomas gold version doesn’t sound like a typical alesso or shm track…right?

  8. steve says:

    and I don’t need my edm to be “super fun.”
