Spin Artist Showcase at the National Hotel had enough big names to please even the most casual of fans. Featured on its bill was Swanky Tunes, Hard Rock Sofa, Bass Kleph, Moguai, Rebecca & Fiona, and Arty with special guest appearances by Alesso, Cazzette, Seb Ingrosso, Avicii and Afrojack.
It was Arty however, that stole the show. Showcasing that perfect blend of trance and big room, best exemplified by his mash-up of ‘Rebound’ and ‘Calling’. The young Russian wasn’t without his friends either, rolling with a large posse of a dozen dancers and a 6 foot 4 dutchman. Afrojack’s guest appearance caused a frenzy, just as it did a year earlier when he took the decks with Laidback Luke. He was more of a spectator this time around, opting to sit back and enjoy Arty’s set with a magnum sized bottle of Greygoose instead. The support had been reciprocated earlier in the week as ‘Lionheart’ & ‘Replica’ had been staples in Arty’s Miami sets. Let’s see if this new bromance produces a future trance-dutch collaboration.
