Tommy Trash blends old with new in his May 2012 mixtape
Even though we haven’t seen any major releases from him in the past month, we know our favorite Aussie has been hard at work in the studio. Tommy Trash is back with the May installment of his monthly mixtape, filled with his signature blend of hard-hitting electro and big house synths. This impeccably-mixed 14 track, hour-long mix features everything from Congorock’s electrified “Agarta” to Dirty South’s bigroom synth remix of “Devil’s Work.”
Tommy also incorporates recent popular tracks like “Atom” and “Shotgun,” before wrapping things up by digging into his crates for MSTRKRFT’s unique, rock-inspired remix of “Woman.” While he brought back past favorites like his remixes of “After” and “Antidote” — and even a refreshingly new mashup of older hits “Unite Us” and “Kids” — we have to say we were hoping for a glimpse at the new stuff, specifically his remix of Deadmau5’s “The Veldt“.
