Tim Bergling – AKA Avicii, if you’ve been living under a rock – has now become the face of the increasingly popular genre of dance music. It’s hard to deny the fact that Avicii’s rise has been meteoric, going from zero to 60 faster than anyone who has come before him. He recently sat down with Elite Daily to give more insight into what’s going on in his busy life.
When asked about his sound becoming mainstream, Tim said “I just kind of laugh when I see people, you know, telling me I’ve sold out or something like that because I haven’t changed anything.” Interestingly, Avicii reveals that he had minimal involvment with his controversial new stage design: “I trust Ash 100%, and after seeing it like I – you know, it’s one of the coolest things I’ve seen and I was so happy when I got to see it.” Avicii has gotten so used to the fame and playing for large crowds that it doesn’t even bother him anymore. “I’ll get nervous maybe like right before going on [for] like two or three seconds when I go up there. But then like the second I go up there, I just – like I’m not nervous anymore.” Check out the video for more insight on the superstar Swede, and don’t forget to check out our review of his recent show at Revel in Atlantic City.
