Electric Zoo 2012 set times are here!
Calling all lions, tigers, and bears: opening day for Electric Zoo is fast approaching and the set times have finally been released. Our most notable observation from the announcement is that the main stage closers are not who we anticipated. In fact, it seems Made Event is giving progressive house the finger — a rare and potentially controversial choice within the festival circuit. Pretty Lights is closing out Friday evening over David Guetta, Above & Beyond instead of Axwell on Saturday, and Skrillex over Tiesto on Sunday. We’re pleasantly surprised by this decision and equally curious to see the reaction from fans.
Another observation worth noting is the absence of Kavinsky who was originally scheduled to perform on Friday at the Fool’s Gold Clubhouse. We’re not sure what happened there, but we are disappointed.
Finally in conjunction with the set time announcement Made Event has released their mobile app, which is available for Android or iPhone. The app allows you to create a custom schedule, includes a map of the grounds, push notifications for breaking festival news, food and art information, and more. You can download the free app from Made Event’s website, here or via the app store on your phone.
Read on for the full list of set times — and be sure to check DA often in the lead up to the festival for our own tips and suggestions. Happy planning!
