Paige makes Pacha NYC debut with Deborah Cox and Nari & Milani this Friday

Though the summer is unfortunately drawing to a close, the parties and club events show no sign of slowing down. This Friday, August 17th, up-and-coming New York DJ/producer Paige will make his headlining Pacha debut — and if you haven’t yet heard his name yet, you can expect that to change over the next year. He has already played gigs at Governors Island and even EDC New York, so he is bringing along some friends to make his big Pacha NYC evening even more special: Deborah Cox will deliver live vocals from her upcoming track with Paige, “Higher,” (and a special rendition of “Leave The World Behind”), while Nari and Milani will bring their special blend of electro house to bring an edgier vibe. If you’re around New York this weekend and looking to experience a new type of progressive house show, head over to Pacha NYC on Friday. We doubt you’ll regret the decision.

This guy is not good.
Is DA acting as a de facto promoter for Pacha NYC? No mention of: Guy J, Loco Dice, Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli, Maya Jane Coles, Maceo Plex, Cassy, Nicole Moudaber – all of whom have played in NYC recently, and yet you post about this guy? Did you listen to his abomination of a set before Eric Prydz at Beekman?
If you’re going to promote events at god-forsaken Pacha NYC, at least pick the good ones. Hernan Cattaneo was there a few months ago. Your readers would benefit from being exposed to music that most aficionados consider true “progressive”.
agreed – this is pretty embarrassing. i stumbled on jacob’s twitter the other day and it’s pretty evident the tone he sets at the top (as editor-in-cheif) for DA is to try to look as cool and privileged as possible because they have some sort of “hook-up.”
what he doesn’t realize is that the only reason DJs pay attention to this is for the free publicity they’re getting. DA is just being used. lolz.
This guy is just a part of the project that one of the biggest promotor in new york, Lou B. created. Not only hes not that good as a dj, he doesnt produce his songs. The paige project has many people working from promoters, camera crew, producer and many many more. This project has been created just to make money. New york has so many great producer/djs like Antraig, Carl Kennedy and they have never had their own night at pacha? Why? Pacha is going down… All they care about is money…
Haters love to hate… Can’t wait for this night!
Ohh and thanks for deleting my comment because I told the truth about paige project
This is bullshit, who is this guy, why is he on DA and why is he headlining pacha?
I’m sure you can’t… paige…
they definitely got paid to post this.
idk the truth about this guy but all i know is nari and milani are gonna tear pacha nyc down. I’m excited and all you haters should suck a dick.
kinda sucks that DA posted this … gonna make pacha more crowded
This guy Paige is a joke. His “productions” are absolutely garbage and he is a glorified opening dj. It’s pretty obvious that anyone that goes this night is going for Nari and Milani. The only reason why Paige has any sort of relevance right now at all is because that old, tired, guido, super promoeter Lou B is getting him opening spots at every shit hole on the east coast. The fact that DA even put this up disgusts me.
ONE WOULD THINK PEOPLE WOULD BE FAR MORE EXCITED FOR NARI & MILANI’S DEBUT…
hahahaha haters.. PAIGE IS the shit!
They are trying to make him a star, but he will never get to that point. When was his production released? ooohhh thats what I thought. NONE of the good labels wanted his tracks…
LOL…is this a joke? Wow…Who is this guy?
This guys has 235 followers on soundcloud…but look at the number of plays on his tracks…hmmm, seems a bit off.
HAHAHHA!!! Way to delete my comments!! You guys are awesome!!
This definitely had to be a paid post, because Da make no mention of the free tickets for this event by signing u for the guest list and arriving by 12am. Which everyone is going to have to do anyway since everyone is just going for Nari & Milani….
Paige is a great DJ. I happened to see him 2x randomly over the summer and was surprised by his well delivered sets. And dont start bitching to me about how I dont know what the heck im talking about. Bunch of stuck up EDM idiots who have nothing better to do than rant about a column. Just based on this level of hate I hope he blows up so he can frame this thread and put it on his wall.
I could drop links to dozens of SICK up and coming producers that have that low # of followers. Its called a rise, doesnt happen overnight either. Not to mention with all of the embeds his SC link prb has the ratio of followers vs plays really means nothing
This is sad. Pacha is selling out and so is DA. I look for blogs that will criticize, be fair, be objective. Jacob Shulman is the only person left on this blog with some sort of heart, everyone else is merely subjecting themselves to this fallacious reality that EDM need commercial-esque promotion. No, it does not. It does not need ‘Paige’s’ it does not need any more of these so-called talented individuals that are friends of someone on the blog so they received a post by them. DA, because of all it’s popularity, should especially, be the most critical EDM blog on the web, and stop promoting these types of events. Paige does not deserve this much promotion, he has 800 followers on twitter, his song with Deborah Cox playing in the background of the promotional video is mediocre at best. But I guess it’s EDM is becoming more and more commercial everyday, as people are gaining popularity merely through their connections and not their music. One year from now, DA will lose all it’s credibility, but a new blog, that will criticize without fear, that will provoke listeners to see the reality in the scene, will rise to the top. I’m saddened by this post, maybe the staff will see this and realize they are taking a turn for the worst.
YOU SEE THAT. HE ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT. KEEP POSTING YOUR CRAP.
