Size In The Park: Steve Angello and friends do Central Park NYC September 22, 2012 (update: afterparty at Pacha)

Size-In-The-Park

As we revealed exclusively earlier this week, Steve Angello and his Size Matters crew will be coming to New York’s Central Park this September. “Size In The Park” — a riff on the BBC’s ‘T In the Park’ event — will go down at Rumsey Playfield (where the SummerStage is located, natch), and will also host supporting artists AN21 & Max Vangeli, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and it will be the NYC debut for Third Party. Tickets for the event go on sale this Friday at 12PM EST. Last year he commandeered an entire island and this year he’s going after the largest park in New York — we’d say when it comes to Steve Angello, Size definitely Matters.

Update: There’s a new trailer for the show. Check it out here.

Update 2: As if there was any question, Steve Angello confirmed to our own Dylan Farella on Twitter that he will be playing an afterparty at Pacha NYC.

5-10pm only… sure hope there is an afterparty… im realy getting tired of all these daytime events…. artists need to move back to all night venues like roseland.

  2. VE says:

damn – hot line up. but lame times.

  3. seriously why do all these events in the us end at 10 pm… in europe the end up at around let’s say 2-3 AM….

  4. Future DJ says:

You Really Expect A Show At CENTRAL PARK To Last Past 10 pm? Lol

  5. VE says:

and 5 hours, 4 DJs = 1 hour each + 2 hours for SA. they won’t get a chance to build a proper set and end up just playing hits and sounding lame.

  6. wjamesnyc says:

please host the afterparty anywhere but pacha … fat chance but a boy can dream

  7. Troy says:

  8. Sal DiGioia says:

You guys need to relax about the times. They’re not at Roseland because being at Central Park is something different, & September has some of New York’s nicest weather so outside venue is awesome. Yeah, 10 is definitely too early, even for a day event, but you act like there’s not going to be after parties.

  9. JLES says:

word! i’m all about this central park business, such a nice change of scenery

  10. this is so shady, how come they arent advertising this link?

  11. maggie says:

  12. Jon Powell says:

Noise ordinances in America (in general) are far stricter than overseas. Not a lot anyone can do about it really.
