Wynn nightlife has ‘so many electronic artists it should be criminal’ (video)
Earlier this year we, like others, noted how Las Vegas has started to morph into an American Ibiza — a mecca for DJs to be treated like kings and play in megaclubs on the scale only Las Vegas can provide. Even David Guetta said that “there is a new energy here that I really, really love.” With single clubs boasting 20 or 30 resident DJs, it is hard to disappoint almost any electronic fan.
This footage from the Wynn Resorts is a testament to how much the scene has grown and features video from Encore Beach Club, Tryst, XS, and Surrender over the crowd-flooded Memorial Day Weekend holiday. The video features the biggest names in dance music like Steve Angello, Deadmau5, Skrillex, David Guetta, Tiesto, and Avicii and shows their time behind the scenes as well as on stage. There are few videos that get us excited these days, but the Wynn just has so much talent it constantly reminds us that moving to Vegas wouldn’t be that bad.

Plus, you get that warm, fuzzy feeling knowing that your money is going to Steve Wynn, a major donor to Karl Rove’s super-PAC Crossroads GPS! http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/casino-mogul-steve-wynn-reportedly-contributes-big-karl/story?id=16771236#.UBmM9I6DXPQ
After living in Vegas for the last 3 months, it’s pretty absurd the amount of top name DJs rolling through all the clubs/venues. Wynn has dozens of billboards all over the city with just the face and name of a DJ (I.e Tiesto, Aoki, Angello etc). Marquee and Tao aren’t far behind either. Still wouldn’t say it’s on par with Ibiza though, as the DJs are essentially playing predictable, prog house sets. Still, better to hear ‘In My Mind’ while out at a club rather than like ‘Teach Me How to Dougie’…
100% agree, they play what the people of vegas want to hear, not what the people of the genre want to hear
Don’t move to Vegas, and if you ever get the chance don’t even think about choosing Vegas over Ibiza. The DJs in Vegas don’t play the same as the would in I Ibiza. And most importantly in Ibiza the dance music is a culture not commodity like Vegas.
The only time I’ve been to XS, they had Will.I.Am :(
