Fresh off his release of “Last Dance” and announcements of historic shows at Radio City and Santa Monica Civic, a rip of Avicii’s latest upcoming track with Mike Posner, “Stay With You,” has surfaced online. Bergling confirmed the collaboration in an interview with Billboard and declared to USA Today that Mike Posner is “going to be the next big thing” and is “a breath of fresh air in the industry.” “Stay With You,” first heard during BBC Radio 1′s Essential Mix from Creamfields, features Avicii’s familiar piano and woodwind instrument work that are perfectly complimented by Mike Posner’s raspy vocals. That’s your article? no criticism of how mediocre and simple this song is? I honestly don’t think he even tries anymore, but then again why should he if people keep giving him this type of publicity and hype. Glad i got to see him 2 years ago when he was putting effort and heart into his music.
Simple, but catchy. It sounds very similar to Sunshine though.
This is the same style and sound that he used two years ago, which I think is a good thing. It seems like a lose-lose scenario. If he changes his sound, he becomes a sell out. If he stays with his same sound, he is not putting effort in. Regardless of simplicity, if the result sounds appealing, I would take that any day over a complex song that sounds like shit.
I agree that he shouldn’t change his sound, but he needs to build on it and at least take SOME risks. To me I just don’t think these songs come even close to bromance, his remix of hang with me, and even levels/penguin (when it was in his essential mix 2 YEARS ago)
