In less than five days, GLOWfest will make its next stop at West Virginia University for Homecoming and is bringing major talent to Morgantown. Porter Robinson and Zedd will spin back-to-back sets along with Bingo Players, Krewella, Paper Diamond, and local talent. Mr. Robinson and Zedd need no introduction – we predicted a huge year for Porter, and Zedd has unquestionably the inescapable smash single to date in 2012. Before Zedd’s complextro wobbles hits the decks, be sure to check out the opening acts. Here’s why:
1. Paper Diamond starts the night off right. If you read our recent piece with him at Electric Zoo, you see that he is undergoing a huge transition from Pretty Lights Music to Diplo’s Mad Decent label. We saw him at Electric Zoo, and trust us, this is an opening act worth checking out.
2. Krewella’s lineup with two girls may resemble that of Nervo’s, but their music does not. Amid the monster drops that they promise at every show are beautiful anthemic choruses. Listen to their Beatport mix, and we dare you to not dance.
3. The Bingo Players were a smash hit at Encore Beach Club. Enough said.
Lastly, we have a special contest for you WVU students. We are holding a contest to give away a chance to win tickets and meet Krewella and the Bingo Players at the show, along with a set of Sol Republic headphones. Enter the Punchtab below to participate in the sweepstakes.
The party starts Friday September 28th, at 1:00PM in Mylan Park and you can grab tickets below for only $40. If you’re a WVU student, this is not the event you should be passing on.
