Maceo Plex & Jon Dasilva – Love Somebody Else feat. Joi Cardwell (Original Mix)

In a relatively short career under his deep house moniker Maceo Plex, Eric Estornel — who is also known to the techno world as Maetrik — has shown a propulsive rise amongst the ranks of the underground elite. The highly anticipated collaboration between Maceo Plex and Jon Dasilva, “Love Somebody Else” — which was debuted on Plex’s Essential Mix back in Feburary — is a deep house anthem of sorts. This track was originally a remix Dasilva worked on in the early ’90s, but was revived when Maceo called Dasilva up for the 2012 refresh. With a propelling and dreamy bass line through and through, this catchy pure house delight is a reconstruction imbued with new life.
