Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour by the numbers: So many tickets, so little time

One-Last-Tour-Swedish-House-Mafia

As you know by now, Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour tickets went on sale — and sold out — in record time this morning. Want to know how long it took them to sell out all those shows?

Starting on the East coast, the Swedes were able to sell out their first two New York shows at MSG and the Barclays Center in under eight minutes. A second show was added and has already sold out, while there are tickets still available for the third show on March 4th.

SHM’s first show in Chicago at the United Center sold out in an astounding five minutes. We’re told they sold 14,000 tickets, which would mean 2,800 tickets per minute, or about 46 per minute.

In San Francisco, the first show at Bill Graham Civic Center sold out in just one minute, forcing the group to add another three nights — two of which sold out in the first hour.

Finally, Masquerade Motel LA sold a whopping 35,000 tickets in the first 30 minutes, with “a second and final” LA show added on Friday March 8th. Tickets for the second show will go on sale Friday October 5th at 10AM Pacific.

What Swedish House Mafia was able to accomplish with this One Last Tour is nothing short of astounding. Let’s all hope they blow our minds with incredible sets, amazing energy, and a top-notch production that makes it well-worth the price of admission.

Something tells us we’re in for a treat.

Im only hoping for just as much effort put into the “added” shows as there was originally gonna be for the originally announced dates. Im one of the folks unlucky enough to get a ticket to March 1 or 2 but was lucky enough to get the cheapest tickets to March 3. really hope these additional shows have that same top notch production and lineup, but im preparing for moderate disappointment. not saying the added shows wont be good, but i just feel like the original dates will get special treatment

Nah, I don’t think there’s a problem with their performance. Anyway, out of maybe 30 tracks in every show, 20 of them are gonna be the same they’ve been playing for the last 4-5 months, so don’t worry about it and enjoy!

  3. Adrien says:

I’m sure all the “added” shows will be at the same high quality as any other SHM show. There’s so much that goes into planning such as venue, permits, competing with other acts/sporting events, dates etc. Obviously these “added” shows were planned from the beginning. They wouldn’t have otherwise been able to just add shows as they sold out. I’m sure you’ll be getting your money’s worth. Enjoy.

  4. THEY NEED TO ADD ANOTHER SHOW TO CHICAGO !!

  5. DJ Capito says:

Yes another date for Toronto. Still have a chance to nab tickets for it. This is must see

  6. Bird says:

I hate that they just keep adding shows to the same cities instead of coming elsewhere. What a waste.

  7. I’m calculating 220,000 total tix for all the US dates @ $100 a piece thats 22 million dollars for 13 shows. Not that all of that goes to the artists but dayum.

If you refresh the page and search for single “Early Bird Tickets” sometimes they pop up frequently. You have to keep trying. I just managed to get another one a few hours ago.
