Insomniac’s Discovery Project: Submit an original track and DJ mix, open for Dirty South
We’ve teamed up with Insomniac Events once again to give one Dancing Astronaut reader the opportunity to take the stage with Dirty South, Arty, Deniz Koyu, and NO_ID in Hollywood, CA. Discovery Project is dedicated to shining light on fresh talent and giving new artists the chance to gain exposure. So, do you want to rouse the crowd alongside the aforementioned big-name EDM acts? HOW TO ENTER
STEP ONE: GET STARTED
Complete the contest entry form at www.discoveryproject.com
STEP TWO: RECORD A 30-MINUTE DJ MIX
Show us your DJ skills by creating a mix you’d play to open for Dirty South
STEP THREE: UPLOAD YOUR MIX
Upload your mix to Mixcloud. Title it Discovery Project: Enhanced Concert Series ft. Dirty South and tag it Discovery Project: ECS ft. Dirty South to ensure that your entry reaches the right eyes. Don’t forget the official contest cover art, available here, and an accurate tracklist.
STEP FOUR: SUBMIT AN ORIGINAL TRACK
Produce an original track that you would play as part of your opening mix. Upload your MP3 (minimum bitrate 128kbps). Do not make your track downloadable unless you are sharing it privately with Insomniac. Clear any and all samples you wish to use and include Discovery Project: Enhanced Concert Series ft. Dirty South in the title of your track.
Deadline & Prizes
The submission deadline is November 15 at 11:59:59 PST.
Winner will open for Dirty South, Arty, Deniz Koyu and NO ID at the Palladium in Hollywood, CA on November 24th; spend an afternoon in the studio with Dirty South; be considered for Insomniac’s new DJ management and music marketing platform and appear on Dancing Astronaut.
