Ahead of the long awaited debut of Sensation America, we’ve decided to break down the lineups for Friday and Saturday. If you’re lucky enough to be going this weekend, you will be spoiled for choice with the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Fedde Le Grand, Joris Voorn, and Nic Fanciulli. Make sure you’re prepared for this weekend by clicking after the break and checking out our special Sensation artist spotlight.
New York native Dennis Ferrer has been a mainstay of the house scene since the mid 90s. While his roots lie in music production, over the years Dennis has developed into an extraordinarily talented DJ. After resident DJ Mr. White opens the proceedings, Dennis will take to the decks Friday night for what is sure to be an set full of soulful house and deep grooves. Dennis hopes to paradoxically provide something new to the Sensation audience by giving them a house music set in the style of an older era. If you’re curious as to what this will sound like, check out his liveset from Sensation Turkey below.
Fedde le Grand
Ringing in at number 26 in this year’s DJ Mag rankings, Fedde Le Grand is definitely the most mainstream artist on the Sensation lineup. Ever since he broke through with his huge 2007 crossover hits “Let Me Think About It” and “Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit,” Fedde has been at the forefront of the electronic music world. Expect Fedde to follow up Dennis Ferrer’s set with a set that is more energetic in nature and one that contains more big-room progressive. One track that he is almost sure to play is his recent collaboration with Deniz Koyu.

Joris Voorn & Nic Fanciulli
It is still unclear whether these two will be playing individual sets or playing back to back as they have done at many venues in the past. Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli are two of the most diversely talented artists out there at the moment. Having produced everything from deep house to pop records for artists like Kylie Minogue, these two talented producer/DJs have been focusing on tech house and techno recently. In our view, these two artists are the perfect duo to round out what is sure to be an absolutely unforgettable Friday. If you want a taste of what they might drop on Friday, check out Jooris Voorn’s gorgeous edit of Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games.”
Sensation America Friday looks to be an incredible night of groovy house beats balanced with the more mainstream sounds of Fedde Le Grand. Luckily for everyone, the entire event will be broadcast online for the world on YouTube, even if you can’t be in Brooklyn yourself. We’re as excited for the production as we are for the music, and we can’t wait to tell you about how it all goes down.
