DA’s Sunday Morning Medicine #5

Sunday Morning Medicine is a feature from Dancing Astronaut dedicated to the mellower side of electronic music. We bring you our favorite therapeutic selections — old and new — in an attempt to alleviate the agonizing effects of a long weekend of partying.

This week features two tracks off Canadian duo Free n Losh’s new Deadhead O.G. EPHuxley‘s stunning remix of “Hearbreaker,” Erkka’s house spin on Flume‘s “Sleepless,” and Rocco’s main mix of “Real Love.”

If you missed any of DA‘s more soothing selections from the past week, make sure to check out Diplo and Grandtheft’s remix of “Sweet Nothing,” Deadmau5‘s work in progress “Arcadia,” Felix Da Housecat‘s remix of “Night Air,” and WhiteNoize‘s remix of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” For five tracks ideal for Sunday morning rehabilitation, click past the break.

1. Sampling the classic Beatles track “Your Mother Should Know,” Free n Losh have created a lovely, jazz-infused trap song. Pick it up as a free download below.

2. Manipulating David Gray’s “Sail Away,” Free n Losh have transformed the original into a soulful glitch hop ballad. “Sail Away” is also available as a free download.

3. Huxley’s remix of Crazy P’s “Heart Breaker” starts deep and funky, turns soft spoken, then picks right back up with the funk.

4. Erkka provides a lovely house spin on Flume’s iconic “Sleepless.” Download it for free on SoundCloud.

5. Rocco’s remix of Jake Island’s “Real Love” builds a tech house foundation for Ray Saint-Ville’s R&B vocal stylings. Check it out below.
