Max Cooper, a UK producer recently named #13 on Resident Advisor‘s top live acts of the year, is joining forces with Canadian band Braids for the first EP release off a new label named FIELDS. The Conditions One EP explores the concept of the human condition, speaking about two greatly different topics in the tracks “Automaton” and “Pleasures.” “Automaton,” the track we’ll be sharing with you today, is “an attempt to show how humans are essentially deterministic, trapped in a set of predictable reactions to their environment, their upbringing, their lives.” The track is a glitchy piece of electronica highlighting Braid’s vocals through a dreamy and atmospheric sensibility.
