Swedish House Mafia were the first electronic act to sell out Madison Square Garden but it looks like they won’t be the last. Trance veteran Armin van Buuren announced today that he is bringing episode 600 of his legendary ASOT radio show to the historic venue. Details are scarce but we do know the event is taking place on March 30th. According to Armada Music’s website, lineup and ticket sales will be announced “soon” — vague but exciting nonetheless. Keep checking back for updates.
Update: Fan’s can sign up for access to pre-sale tickets via Made Event.

Philadelphia duo, Louis Futon, have made a name for themselves with a collection of future house originals and impeccable remixes of Mos Def and Childish Gambino. On their latest official remix the pair strip down Logic’s “Break It Down,” and install a future funk groove underneath Jhene Aiko’s silky smooth verses. Tripped-up progressions and panning vocal cuts create a hazy and heady vibe perfect for the upcoming holiday… and we aren’t talking about Easter.
There are days when I wonder if some producers realize that it is in fact possible to release a song without sampling an R&B hit from a decade ago. That said, there are also days when someone surprises me with a track like “C.A.S.S.I.E.” Redlight’s edit takes Cassie’s “Me & U” and transforms it into a DJ tool that’s every bit as listenable as it is useful. (Redlight fans familiar with his Animal Youth moniker may find similarities between the drums used here and on “Keep Up,” the Animal Youth take on Destiny’s Child’s “Lose My Breath.”) The track is available as a free download through Redlight’s Facebook page.
