Kicking off a brand new video series, “Australasia,” Avicii brings us behind the scenes of his tour of both continents of the creatively combined title. In the first installment, Tim is portrayed traveling, playing live shows, interacting backstage with Dillon Francis, and working up new music with his manager, Ash. Taking Australia by storm, Avicii heads to Perth to headline Stereosonic where he finds time to mingle with Sander van Doorn and Tommy Trash moments before his set. Electric Zoo has plans to increase its safety measures at this year’s festival. In 2013, two drug-related deaths led to the cancelation of the festival’s third day and brought with it serious public scrutiny of New York’s premier dance music festival. This year’s permit is also being deliberated due to concerns regarding the two-deaths in its five year history, and, as of writing, has still not been issued. Mike Binder and Laura DePalma are confident and told the Wall Street Journal that issuance usually “happens later in the year.”
