Is it just me, or is there something of a bootleg revolution going on? It seems to have started back in February with Hardwell’s massive 19-track bootleg giveaway, followed by a Wolfgang Gartner bootleg pack, a Porter Robinson bootleg pack, a R3hab pack, two standout bootleg compilations from Clockwork, and more. Sure, bootlegs have pervaded DJ sets for years, but recently it feels as though they’re being mass produced — which is not a bad thing. Bootlegs are a valuable tool for DJs, as well as a more enjoyable mashup format for fans.

Yesterday, New Jersey producer Aylen also released his ensemble of bootlegs. With heavier house selections, dubstep drops, and sudden trap transitions incorporated, the bootleg pack is clearly targeted towards a tumultuous live environment. Not only has Aylen released all thirteen bootlegs for free, but he’s turned the bodacious bootlegs into a forty-five minute mix, which is also available for download.
