It is clear that Minnesota native Gigamesh has a love affair with the grooving sounds of the past. With every track he unveils, however, he gives light to the future of nu-disco. His latest funky pop production, “Enjoy,” brings listeners to their feet with its infectious dance-worthy line — forming another 70s-inspired production from the American producer. Sampling the 1980s British post-disco duo Wham!, Gigamesh works in a vocal sample from their 1982 hit “Wham! Rap (Enjoy What You Do).” “Enjoy” proves Gigamesh’s ability, yet again, to give listeners a fresh take on disco, leaving his glimmering beat dancing in our heads.
