Rudimental – Spoons ft. MNEK & Syron (Two Inch Punch Remix)
We got our first real taste of Two Inch Punch –real name Ben Ash– last week when Jessie Ware released her If You’re Never Going to Move EP. The title track, which was previously called “110%” received a rework from the UK-based producer, turning the Julio Bashmore 2-step production into a bubbling downtempo beat. Now Two Inch Punch has returned, giving listeners another remix, this time of the London-based quartet Rudimental.
As part of Black Butter Records’ free download series Spread Love, Two Inch Punch has given Rudimental’s soulful “Spoons” a glitchy rework. The singer/songwriter/producer is known for his R&B infused productions –which he calls ‘Lovestep’– and his rendition of “Spoons” follows suit with its sensual harmonies and shadowy bass drops.
