DJ Shadow releases infamous Mansion Miami set
On December 14, DJ Shadow was kicked off the decks mid set at Mansion Nightclub in Miami, for playing a set that the club deemed “too futuristic.” While public outrage ensued via social media, Mansion has since issued a formal apology to the turntable legend. After the drama transpired, the music world was left wondering “what the hell did Shadow play to get kicked off during his own headlining tour?”
In response to the rampant curiosity, DJ Shadow has uploaded his “All Basses Covered” set from the night. Spanning everything from trap, to hardcore rap, to breakbeat, to glitch hop, DJ Shadow’s set is future bass music beaming with conspicuous Bay Area influence.
