Underworld – Rez (Bassnectar Remix)
Bassnectar closed out 2012 by playing a sold out headlining show in Nashville on a 360-degree rotating stage. As the NYE countdown entranced what we can only imagine to be crowd of frolicking, frenetic, all-around outrageous bass heads, Bassnectar dropped this massive remix of Underworld’s famed 1993 hit “Rez.”
Remixing one of dance music’s biggest pioneers is a daunting task, but Bassnectar’s abilities live up to the challenge. His remix of “Rez” is everything we love about the bass music virtuoso: titanic bass that aptly balances melody with sheer mass. The fact that Lorin chose this as his song to usher in the new year speaks volumes for the credentials of this remix, but if you need any more proof, listen to the track for yourself below. Bassnectar’s remix of “Rez” will officially be released by Om Records on February 12th.
