For their follow-up to this summer’s immensely popular “Nova,” Montreal’s Paris & Simo are back this week with “Avon.” In our preview we mentioned that “avon” is “nova” spelled backwards, but what we didn’t say is that “Avon” brings progressive house back to basics as well. The duo took a straightforward approach to the pure instrumental track, keeping tones clean, production tight and builds solid. With a big room feel and a dance beat that can carry from club to stadium to festival grounds, “Avon” sets Paris & Simo’s bar high for originals in 2013.
