As a DJ, it is a cruel thing to tease your fans for months while they anxiously await the release of your newest single. After many long weeks of holding out for more information, some fans may be driven to extreme forms of madness, while others will probably resort to sitting in front of their computers, hitting refresh for hours on end. Who knows–we all handle stress differently. The elusive culprit, in this case, is Dutch producer Sidney Samson. Since debuting the first preview of his latest collaboration with Martin Garrix last December, Samson has done little to quench the thirst of his countless fans who are (literally) itching to drink his kool-aid and get a taste of what is yet to come.
That is, until now. Just recently, Samson revealed an epic preview of his upcoming track, “Torrent,” which is scheduled to drop on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom later this month. Featuring the same vicious synths and addictive hook we were privy to just a few weeks ago, this second installment from the talented pairing, whilst still exuding a turbo-charged ferocity, showcases fewer dynamic drops with considerable repetition in the melody. With that being said, although we were hoping to hear a little more in this latest preview, all in all, we have a good feeling the final track will be hot fire regardless. Look for the full release of “Torrent” to debut February 19 exclusively on Beatport, followed by all other media outlets on March 5.
