Skrillex teams up with Cliff Martinez to score ‘Spring Breakers’

Taking a page out of the Trent Reznor and Daft Punk playbooks, Skrillex teams up with the man behind Drive’s score, Cliff Martinez, to lend his touch to the soundtrack for the upcoming movie “Spring Breakers.” Cliff’s ethereal approach to creating soundscapes that ebb and flow with haunting energy, combined with Skrillex‘s signature melody-driven dubstep work in tandem to create a dazzling display of seedy electronica. With production credits on nine of the nineteen tracks, including a string version of “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,”  the album isn’t completely scored by Sonny but serves as yet another part of  the music industry that the dubstep producer has made his mark on.
