Bomba Ibiza is the White Isle’s new Cipriani-backed club

Only days after The New York Times profiled some of the big changes going on in Ibiza this summer (particularly Pacha’s resistance to skyrocketing superstar DJ fees), the Cipriani hospitality group is announcing some exciting new additions to the nightlife landscape on the Balearic Islands this summer. Giuseppe Cipriani, along with former Pacha programming directors Danny Whittle and Mark Netto, will be opening Bomba Ibiza during the week of the International Music Summit on May 22nd.

If you were wondering where former Pacha residents like Defected Records and Erick Morillo will end up this summer, look no further than Bomba Ibiza. Luciano and his Vagabundos crew will also hold on to one of the key residencies for the brand new club this summer. On top of these exciting residencies (with more to be announced), Bomba has announced it will feature the world’s first custom built Pioneer Sound System because in their eyes “every serious venue is only as good as the sound quality it delivers.” They also claim to be aiming their sights directly at the “informed clubber” with an emphasis on the fact that it will not be a VIP club and only 30% of its capacity will be allotted for tables. If you’re curious, take a look at some of the initial floor plans below.
